Using the power of communications
Making a better world, together
At BT, we use the power of communications to make a better world. We create amazing new products and services to make customers’ lives easier and we’re always looking for the next new technology so that we can develop fresh innovations and connect people.
If you’ve got the dedication, and you share our passion for changing customers’ lives, you can transform your potential into an exciting career. Your journey with BT doesn’t end once you have finished the apprenticeship programme. You can continue to share great ideas and seize every chance to learn and grow, and you could progress all the way to a senior role, shaping the next big thing.
You might be surprised by what we do at BT Fleet, our specialist fleet management business. We look after Openreach vehicles, used to maintain the UK’s communication network. We also manage vehicles for clients including the AA and National Grid and combined with Openreach’s fleet that’s over 75,000 vehicles. Joining a garage service team, you’ll learn to maintain, service and repair cars and commercial vehicles.
Our Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship scheme is a three and a half year training programme, fully funded by BT Fleet and organised in partnership with Warwickshire College. Being part of BT Fleet’s apprenticeship scheme enables you to take advantage of continuous learning and development, as we make sure your skills are kept up-to-date with the automotive industry, all the while working towards a BTEC and NVQ level 3 in both Motor Vehicle Service and Repair.
Unlike other motor technician apprenticeships in the UK, our course provides comprehensive training to maintain, service and repair not just cars but also vans, trucks, plant and anything in-between. This training allows you to become multi-skilled in the garage services.
We invest heavily on our person, that’s why we’ve won awards including the regional apprenticeship awards.
Who we’re looking for
At BT, we’re creating an inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed. Diversity makes sense for us, for our customers and for our future. We value different perspectives, skills and experiences, and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
