Hours of work: Full time, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours/week)
Location: Career Studio, Granary Business Centre, Coal Road, Cupar KY15 5YQ
Holidays: 20 days + 8 days public holidays (28 days total)
Probationary period: 6 months
Starting Salary: £10,000 per annum paid by direct bank transfer on 26th of each month
Pension: Auto enrolment in the Government backed NEST pension scheme
Contract: 18 months fixed term
Training: SVQ3 Enabling Access to Career Development Services

Career Studio is small specialist career development business and digital media agency based in Cupar, Fife now in its 10th year and with a successful track record in business enterprise and in training apprentices both in-house and in other organisations. In 2014 we were among the first employers in Scotland to achieve the Investors in Young People Award. Working within a small team, Apprenticeships at Career Studio provide an introduction to working in the fast paced Career Development Sector which includes education, skills, training and recruitment. As an apprentice, your role is to learn and master entry-level tasks in business administration, digital communications and customer service. You’ll develop the skills you need to do your job well, progress your career and make a contribution to the business.
All staff are expected to maintain a positive can-do attitude every day and to learn to operate all relevant office, computer and business systems effectively. You should complete the units of your apprenticeship qualification within a satisfactory timeframe and develop your skills as the first point of contact for customer enquiries through email, social media, telephone and in person. You’ll have responsibilities for digital publishing so attention to detail and a good level of written communication is important. Every staff member has responsibility for a development project within the business and you’ll be expected to lead a new creative project as part of your work. Junior staff are also responsible for keeping the office environment in clean and safe condition.
Completion of your Modern Apprenticeship will lead to a permanent position and the opportunity for further responsibility and career progression is a creative and digital media professional.
