This is an independent Alcatel Business Partner that supplies and maintains voice and data solutions throughout Scotland and England. The businesses portfolio includes Blue Chip Companies.
Currently seeking someone who is passionate about Technology and IT. Someone who already actively looks to further their skills in IT – whether that be from building PCs at home, helping fix problems with family & friends computer hardware and has familiarity with basic IT terminology.
The apprenticeship will give someone who is passionate about IT & Technology to start a career in the industry.
The apprentice will gain exposure to the following areas:
- Network services
- Structured cabling
- Local area network
- Wide area network
- Wireless networking
- Servers & appliances
- Desk top support
- Monitoring – performance applications & future products
Once apprentice has had exposure, we anticipate 3 product groups will be identified for them to champion and further specialise in.

Having a Higher in IT/Computing or HNC in this field would be beneficial but not essential if applicants are able to demonstrate relevant experience or some knowledge in the field.
Someone with 5 standards (Level 1 – 3) OR 5 National Level 5 grades, both qualifications including Maths and English would be ideal
Working hours and salary
Hours – 9am -5pm, Monday –Friday, 37.5hrs per week
Salary – £8,000-£14,000 per annum depending on experience
