Full Description
The aim of our Digital function is to enhance the overall customer experience of our online offerings and help with the commercial performance of our wider business. Digital Journey Coordinator cover a wide remit – from analysing web data, discovering patterns and trends, to proposing customer focused design solutions. The apprentice can expect to gain experience across a number of digital disciplines throughout the end to end digital process. We are looking for a confident, proactive person who wants to be involved in a multi-skilled digital team who are transforming the way we approach our websites with a customer focused mindset. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with an eagerness to learn and grow in a digital environment, but is also comfortable bringing their brain to the party and look for and help create and shape new ideas.

Your duties will include:

  • Working alongside a team of technical specialists such as visual designers, UX specialists and content writers – helping with problem solving and finding solutions.
  • Analysing website statistics and understanding where things are going wrong and implementing improvements.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to organise and deliver items of work.
  • Supporting a team of digital journey and web optimisation Managers.
  • Owning a number of personal digital projects.
  • Supporting the Planning Manager to aid the planning.
  • Any other business admin duties required to support the team.


Future Prospects

This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the apprentice performance, headcount and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to that specific role/department.

Framework
Business Administration Level 3

Training Provided
Your apprenticeship shall be delivered by a blend of virtual online lectures alongside internal training and on-the-job learning, this will lead to obtaining your Business Administration Level 3 qualification.

Duration
15 months fixed term

Skills Required

  • Able to see problems from other peoples’ point of view and create designs and experiences to suit.
  • Comfortable working with Excel & Powerpoint for reporting and presentations.
  • An understanding of the HTML and any other web technology. There is no requirement to code anything, but an understanding will be advantageous.
  • An opinion on who has a good website that is easy to use, and who doesn’t do that well.
  • Comfortable working with numbers.
  • An interest in design and a creative flair.


Desirable
Content writing experience would be a huge advantage (e.g. blogs)

The successful applicant will have the following business soft skills:

Qualities Required
As a minimum, candidate will have 5 National 5 (Standard Grades) with good English grades. Qualifications in computing/graphic/design based subjects would be advantageous. Someone with a passion for the web/digital industry. An overall ‘creative, but organised’ type brain would be an ideal fit.
