Hospitality Apprentices Enjoy HIT Epicurean Experience
Nine young people who are currently on the Scottish Apprenticeship in Hospitality programme enjoyed working alongside some of the country’s top Head Chefs at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
The Scottish Apprenticeship in Hospitality is an industry-led programme that provides world-class training across all aspects of the modern hotel industry. It’s aimed at young people who are committed to forging a future career within the hospitality industry.
Robert Allan, HR Director for Apex Hotels said: “We’re keen to promote the Scottish Apprenticeship in Hospitality as an opportunity for school-leavers to enter the hospitality industry. They not only earn industry-recognised qualifications but also gain invaluable real world, on-the-job experience and knowledge that will stand them in good stead.”
Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland gave the young people the opportunity of a lifetime.
The nine honed their skills at the annual POETS Lunch (Push Off Early Tomorrow’s Saturday) – one of the Scottish hospitality industry’s key annual events. The star-studded event featuring The Bay City Rollers and Tam Cowan as MC, gave the apprentices the opportunity to gain valuable experience in working at a large-scale hospitality function.
